The Wellness Dental Scholarship
$1,000 toward your education. Our doctors were students once too — balancing coursework, jobs, and tuition. This annual award supports one U.S. student on their path through higher education, with a special welcome to those pursuing dentistry and the health professions.

Eligibility
The scholarship is open to students at every stage of higher education — and while we especially welcome future dentists, hygienists, and health-professions students, any eligible student may apply.
- Enrolled at (or a graduating high-school senior accepted to) an accredited U.S. university, college, community college, or accredited online college — enrollment verification required
- U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA
- Essay must be your original, unpublished work
- The winner agrees to provide a photo with the award and grants Wellness Dental permission to use it in future scholarship-program materials (details in Official Rules below)
No purchase, donation, or patient relationship with Wellness Dental is required to apply or win. Employees of Wellness Dental and their immediate families are not eligible.
How to apply
Write your essay
An original 900-word essay on the topic above. Proofread carefully — spelling, grammar, and clarity count in judging.
Add your details
Include your full name, mailing address, email, phone number, school, and expected graduation year at the top of the document.
Attach enrollment verification
A current enrollment letter, class schedule, or acceptance letter from your accredited institution.
Email your application
Send your essay and verification as attachments to scholarship@mywellnessdental.com from your student email address (.edu preferred) by April 30, 2027, 11:59 PM MST.
Selection & timeline
Essays are reviewed by Wellness Dental’s doctors and selection committee for originality, clarity, and depth of thinking about preventive oral health — not for agreement with any particular view, and never based on financial need disclosures, race, religion, sex, disability, or any protected status. The winner is notified by email and announced on this page on June 1, 2027. The award is disbursed for the fall 2027 term.
The $1,000 award is paid directly to the recipient’s institution toward tuition and fees. Recipients are responsible for any tax implications; consult your advisor.
Scholarship FAQ
Do I have to be a dental or pre-dental student?
No — the award is open to eligible students in any field, though the essay topic is oral-health focused and future dental professionals are especially encouraged to apply.
Do I need to be a Wellness Dental patient?
No. No purchase, appointment, or patient relationship is required to apply or to win — ever.
How is the winner chosen?
A Wellness Dental selection committee judges essays on originality, clarity, and quality of thinking about preventive dentistry. This is a merit-based essay award, not a random drawing.
What happens to my information?
Application materials are used solely to administer the scholarship and are not added to marketing lists or shared with third parties. Non-winning applications are deleted after the cycle ends. See our Privacy Policy.
Can my school list this scholarship?
