How Does New Teeth in a Day Work?
Here at Wellness Dental, we are able to provide a beautiful new smile in one day by providing patients with immediate implant denture treatment.
Rather than waiting for a 3-4 month healing period after the extraction of the natural teeth, the dental implants are placed immediately after extractions are finished. A temporary implant denture is then placed over the implants to ensure that you are able to leave with a beautiful new smile.
To begin treatment, three-dimensional images will be taken of your jaw bone using a CT machine. These images will be used to determine your candidacy for treatment and will allow your dentist to develop a surgical guide to use during the placement procedure.
If there are natural teeth inside the mouth that require extraction, they will be skillfully and quickly removed. You will be fully numbed with a local anesthetic to ensure that you are comfortable during the procedure.
Next, four dental implants are placed inside the jaw bone. Your dentist will reference the three-dimensional images to ensure that the implants are properly placed. These implants operate as a sturdy base for the implant denture, which is designed to firmly clip into place over the top of the implants.
Once the implants have been placed, you will be given a set of new teeth to ensure that you are able to leave the office with a complete smile line. This is the main benefit of this type of treatment; you will never have to worry about leaving your appointment without your beautiful new teeth.
Your healing period may take anywhere between two and six months; once you are fully healed and the bone has become fused to the implants, you will return to the office to have your temporary denture removed and your permanent denture placed. Your treatment will then be complete.

Treatment Cost
The cost of your same-day implant treatment depends upon your dental insurance coverage, the costs set by your dentist, the region in which you live, and the number of implants that are placed inside the jaw.
Since this treatment is not considered “medically necessary”, it may not typically be covered by insurance. The best way to determine if your dental insurance will cover your New Teeth in a Day treatment is to give your insurance company a call and ask for a breakdown of benefits.
Am I a Candidate?
Before pursuing this type of treatment, it is important to first make sure that you qualify as an ideal candidate. We will help you determine your candidacy, but it doesn’t hurt to have an idea of what to expect.
Below are some examples of things that may disqualify candidacy for dental implant treatment:
Low bone levels/low bone density
Bone diseases (such as osteoporosis)
Pre-existing periodontitis (gum disease)
Poor overall health
Tobacco use
To help you determine if you are a candidate, we will conduct a thorough examination and implant consultation.
